About the event

Join Equal Ground for this free workshop as we guide you through planning your garden from start to finish. We'll be going over gardening layout basics, requirements for starting a new garden space or amending your current one, as well as plant placement. Participants will be provided with measuring tools, guides for plant placement, and resources to assist with them throughout the season. Light refreshments will be provided. 

Pre-planning your vegetable garden space can help maximize harvest, reduce weeding and watering needs throughout the season, and remove the planting day stress that comes with winging it year after year. Plus, who doesn't love dreaming about a warm summer day in the garden while there is snow on the ground?!

Participants are require to:

- Bring a list of plants you have intentions of growing this year. If you have any pertaining seed packets, please consider bringing them with you. 

- Provide address during registration. Equal Ground will be providing a copy of a satellite view of your space to assist with planning.

This workshop is perfect for you if:

- Your are a Garden Champion and/or

- You having space at your own home to grow a food garden and/or 

- You have an alternative space to grow a food garden

This workshop is offered at no cost to participants, but it does cost the organization time and money to host. If you are unable to attend the workshop after registering, please cancel to allow others from the waitlist to move up. We want to ensure we're servicing as many community members as possible.
